Terms & Conditions
Please read our rental terms before booking. These rules keep the process simple, safe and transparent for everyone.
Documents required (mandatory)
Original Aadhaar Card & Driving Licence must be produced at pickup.
- Original Aadhaar Card (physical original — no photocopy / no soft copy).
- Original Driving Licence (valid and non-expired).
- Both documents must belong to the person who will be driving the car.
Security deposit
Refundable security deposit of ₹10,000 — OR — a two-wheeler with original RC as collateral.
- Cash security deposit: ₹10,000 (refunded after safe return of the vehicle).
- Alternative: submit your own bike along with the original RC book as security.
- Deposit / bike is returned once the car is returned in original condition with no violations, damages or dues.
Advance payment
₹2,000 advance is mandatory to confirm your booking.
- Booking is confirmed only after the ₹2,000 advance is received.
- Advance is adjusted against your total rental amount.
- Advance is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled by the customer.
Balance payment
Balance rental amount is paid at the pickup point, before the keys are handed over.
- Full balance must be cleared at pickup — cash / UPI accepted.
- Fuel is not included — the car must be returned with the same fuel level.
- Extra kilometres will be charged as per the per-km rate mentioned on the car page.
General rules
- Minimum driver age: 21 years with a valid Indian driving licence.
- The car must be driven only by the person whose documents are submitted.
- Smoking, alcohol or any illegal activity inside the car is strictly prohibited.
- Any traffic challans / fines during the rental period are the customer's responsibility.
- Damage to the vehicle will be charged based on actual repair cost.
- Late return will be charged on an hourly basis; more than 3 hours late = full day charge.
- Inter-state travel must be informed in advance — permits / additional charges may apply.
- In case of accident / breakdown, inform us immediately on the number below.
By booking a car with Smart Self Drive Car Rentals Bangalore, you agree to all the terms and conditions listed above.
Deposit alternative: bike + original RC is accepted in place of the ₹10,000 cash deposit.
